In Memoriam: Bruce Elsner

We have sad news to share on the passing of Bruce Elsner who was a long-time member of the EAS family and consulting team. Bruce had over 28 years of experience working in FDA regulated Fortune 500 companies, who manufactured and packaged drug, medical device, and cosmetic products. His responsibilities included laboratory management, process control and improvement, pilot plant management, plant quality assurance management and quality systems improvement across multiple manufacturing and research facilities. He consulted for drug and dietary supplement companies for more than 16 years in the areas cGMP compliance auditing and quality systems improvement. His experience also included training drug and dietary supplement industry personnel in cGMP requirements, assisting in improving their levels of compliance with those regulations and helping them address complex issues related to FDA warning letters and consent decrees. Bruce was a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Bruce was a great friend to many at EAS where he often mentored new consultants and EAS staff, helping them to make the transition from industry or FDA to the consulting world or assisting with challenging client issues. He was a very kind man of great integrity, with an unbelievable work ethic, and a true professional who was always willing to step in and help. Bruce was a recognized expert, respected by his colleagues and clients and he will truly be missed. Please keep Bruce’s family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time.
