John TurnerJohn Turner provides regulatory guidance to facilitate the advancement of plants and other organisms using the tools of modern biotechnology. Prior to consulting he spent over 30 years in agricultural biotechnology in both research and regulatory roles. Most recently, he was the Director of Biotechnology Risk Analysis Programs at Biotechnology Regulatory Services (BRS) within the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) where he provided leadership to the scientists who performed risk assessments and prepared environmental analyses related to the issuance of permits, acknowledgment of notifications, and de-regulation of genetically engineered organisms.
