Brian Ravitch

Brian Ravitch’s career has spanned positions such as sea going biologist at National Marine Fisheries Service/NOAA to Import Inspector at the FDA, to Domestic Investigator, and then Food/Seafood HACCP Specialist. He has also worked in ORA’s Office of Human and Animal Food Operations Branch as one of seven National Food Program Experts. Since the implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Brian has played key roles in the development and implementation of the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP).  He is trained in Preventive Controls for Human Foods (PCQI) having conducted domestic and foreign inspections.
